FAQ
Common questions about setup, importing, and live weather data in Meteobreeze.
FAQ
Do I need to connect live data before importing history?
Yes, that is the recommended order. Connect the live source first so Meteobreeze starts receiving current data as soon as possible, then import your history.
Do I need to use canonical units in my source?
No. Meteobreeze stores data in canonical units, but it can convert common source units during import or live ingest as long as you tell it what the source uses.
Can I import only part of my history?
Yes. During import you can choose a custom range or one of the preset ranges offered by the preview screen.
Do I need every field to be present?
No. Missing fields are fine. Meteobreeze will import the values it has and leave the rest unchanged.
Can I change a live source later?
Yes. You can update or disable a live source from the data sources area. Changes affect future packets only.
What if I am not sure which guide to follow?
Start with Getting Started, then read Units. After that, choose either the historical import or live source guide that matches your setup.
